I caught the Red Rocks show. Strong show.

The encore was Not Fade Away, BTW, not Box.

Hey Parrot et al--are the really doing Golden Road? That is so cool--esp given all the discussion (well, okay, just me) the past few days to learn of this...

Thanks for the info.

WmT-

I'm out of the loop and don't know of any discussions the past few days about it. Should Golden Road be unexpected?

Got me...given the boys themselves only did it five times, and not since 67 (Cr Puff War, me, others, have been talking about it for a week or so), it seems odd that it would resurface 40 yrs later, to me...but, maybe they (Phil et al) have been doing it for sometime?

Don't know--just grabbed me in your set list.

Yeah, it's been part of his setlists for quite some time. He's a sucker for the oldies.

I saw both shows here in COlorado, They were two GREAT shows! I would say Saturday night at the Rocks was on par with many of the Dead shows I'd seen. of coarse 2nd row center seats at the Rocks didn't hurt.

Jackie Green is like a young Bob Dylan but better voice and guitar. the Hard Rain is momentous! This is definetly one for the collection.

Phil on Stand Up base was classic also.

By the way I was on the rail Friday night and requested the Golden Road they played in the second set, TY Phil !!!

Oh man, did I ever! No set list but they really pulled off a killer two sets. Highlights included a help-slip-frank that had all the heads spinning. All-in-all, the BEST show I've been to in recent memory. By all means, you must catch this tour. Surprises included Petty cover: "You Don't Know How It Feels." The crowd went absolutely ape-shit during and after Cumberland Blues - I've not heard a better version. I can't wait for this show to come out. Heads and shoulders above the Ratdog show we saw at Paolo in July. I can't even touch on how special the h-s-f was - just out of this world. That keyboard player form Particle really has some chops! Ended the Band's The Load encore. Simply amazing. Wish I could make all the dates from here on out. GO SEE THESE GUYS!!!

Posted this a couple of weeks ago:

I did catch Particle this past summer. IMO they were really really good. Their keyboardist, Steve Molitz was great. Do believe he is playin with Phil, should bring a bunch of energy to the show. Hey, anyone here seeing Phil in Chitown? Thought about maybe making the trek south to catch a show.

Great to hear the stellar review

Hey All...Yea, we caught the Red Rocks show Saturday night. It was one of the best P&F shows we've ever seen. Not the intensity of Warren or Jimmy but the feel and vibe were so palpable that you could cry. Which in fact we did during Brokedown. Acoustic set?? It really felt like we were part of history in the making. The second set flowed with perfection. The place wasn't packed but everyone was just so damn happy (it was a gorgeous night as well).
